Childcare Choices brings together all the government childcare offers in one place for the first time. The new Childcare Choices website makes it easy to find out what’s on offer.

As well as current schemes, Childcare Choices introduces Tax-Free Childcare and 30 hours – two new offers that are came in 2017.

If your individual circumstances mean that you could claim either Working Tax Credits or Childcare Vouchers, it should be noted that you can not claim both of these. Call the Tax Credits helpline on 0845 300 3900 to find out which method is best for you financially.


You may be able to get extra financial help if you are in full time higher education with dependent children. We are now registered for Care to Learn Payments.


Early Years Pupil Premium.

The Early Years Pupil Premium
has been introduced by the Government and will pay early years providers an additional £300 per year for each 3 and 4 year old that takes up their full 15 hour entitlement depending on their eligibility and is not available for 2 year olds. You need to be claiming certain benefits to meet the criteria.

How do we apply?

It will not be paid automatically
Parents have to apply – this is entirely voluntary where The Local Authority will carry out eligibility checks

For looked after children there is a different process to claim. For more information if you think you may be eligible for this funding please speak to Gaynor.



Initial costs of £17.50 Registration and Terms and Conditions is payable for all children. This is to help set up records


From Sept 2018 the fees will be increased to:-


Full day 7.00 to 6.00pm - £56.10


Half day 7.00-1.00pm or 12.00-6.00pm - £32.40


Full week £280.50 for all ages.


Early Education funded sessions are 8.50-11.50 and 12-3pm  - available term time only 


If your child is booked in for the nursery sessions only i.e. 8.50-2.50pm or 8.50-11.50 am you would only pay for snack.

If your child is booked in for extra hours i.e. 8-5 you will be billed only for the non funded hours. If your child is dropped off earlier you will be billed for the extra time they are in. If they are picked up earlier than they are booked in for you will still be billed to the time you have stated. Lateness will incur a cost of £5.00 for every 5 minutes you are late or part thereof.


We offer a healthy snack - voluntary contribution of 70p per session - more information in food and snacks

Hot dinner if not stopping all day (longer that 6 hours)  is £2.50,  if stopping all day meals are included in the cost (hot meals are not currently available)

Additional hours are £5.40 per hour
We accept online payments, we also take childcare vouchers from Edenred, Computer Share Voucher Service, Busy Bees, Salary Exchange and Care-4 Scheme by Grass Roots Group. If you need any of the ID numbers e.g. Edenred has an ID number beginning with P. We  have also registered for the Tax free childcare which is starting  soon. If your companies voucher scheme is not listed please get in touch to set up for your scheme. We will accept cash but prefer online methods.
